Jen:  I remember fondly lots of 5th Sunday Night “Singspirations” that we enjoyed through the years.  I miss them!  Special music, praise and worship, and often there would be a time when folks could call out their favorite hymns.  This medley makes me smile and remember all those fun times.  I hope that you can hear the smile in my voice and that you’ll sing along with a smile on your face too.  You know, after all the singing and special music was done, we would gather in the fellowship hall for a spread that only church folks can pull off.  I know that most of you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about!!  Food as far as the eye could see…platters of little sandwiches cut in little triangles delivering delightful assortment of homemade pimento cheese, ham, tuna salad, and PBJ with the crusts cut off for the kids, Pigs-in-a-Blanket, potato salad, fried chicken, mac-n-cheese, and casseroles of every conceivable variety weighed down the tables using every square inch of available space.  And if that wasn’t enough, the dessert table always held an unbelievable array of treats guaranteed to bring a tear of joy, mmmm’s of delight, or maybe even send a diabetic straight to heaven…what a way to go.
